"Ms. Vine Samuels' talk was illuminating. She highlighted crucial issues relating to racism and public health. Ms. Samuels explained the myriad ways in which institutionalized racism creates health disparities."
"Ms. Samuels delved into the layers of this topic, discussing the ways in which racist stereotypes such as the “Welfare Queen” myth and the assumption of lesser intelligence influences some medical professionals to discriminate against Black patients. Vine Samuels draws her insights from decades of professional work in public health. The cycle of health disparities in one that needs to end if we are to build an equitable society. The first step is to understand the problem. Next, we can educate others and occupy roles which may allow us to implement changes. Ms. Samuels has carved out a path which can be a blueprint for others who wish to see those goals carried out.”
"The presentation, “Health Equity and Maternal Mortality” by Vine Samuels, CEO of HER, LLC, which took place on 2/15/2022 at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), Department of Public Health: Women’s Health Course 350, was well received by the students who represented various fields of study in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, and Education. It is always a powerful message when a presenter speaks from both personal and professional experience."
STRENGTHENING YOUTH AND FAMILIES INITIATIVE
"Vine Samuels served as the Coordinator for the Dixwell Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ Community Youth Grant program in 2023. This was a special initiative funded by the State of Connecticut to assist and nurture entities to plan and implement programs that would educate and enlighten our youth and community. As a Moderator for our church, I had the responsibility of overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the grant. In that capacity, I was impressed with Vine's management and leadership styles. The program’s success was at large due to the management style and accountability standards set by Ms. Samuels."

“In my opinion the entire workshop was outstanding.
I pray HER, LLC will continue bringing this knowledge to the forefront of all people. It's a struggle and it touches everyone in some time. I hope we can continue this dialogue and create a program in financial literacy too.
Erica Reshard offered a heartfelt presentation about life in the prison system. As a financial professional sometimes these social life struggles go unnoticed. But not ignored."
